By God, the True One, verily, the angels of heaven praise you every morn and eve from the loftiest apex, and announce to you a favor which will surely appear as clear and lucid as the sun in mid-day. Then your faces will shine with a light which will gleam forth unto all regions. Exert yourselves in (furthering) unison and harmony, in diffusing the fragrances of God, in preaching the Beauty of El-ABHA, and promoting the word of God. Let each one of you be attracted to the love of the other, so that ye may become as fountains flowing from one source, stars beaming with one life, myrtles verdant and flourishing by the abundance of one rain. By this your hearts will be purified, your consciences illumined, your souls make clear, your banners hoisted, and ye will become signs of guidance among the maid-servants, standards of chastity and piety throughout all the nations of the earth, and the appearances of the gifts of your Lord among women.

O SON OF MAN!
The true lover yearneth for tribulation even as doth the rebel for forgiveness and the sinful for mercy.

From The Arabic Hidden Words.

I was reading the Baha'i community here and was disappointed with the behavior of some of the people. It has been my experience that when Baha'is are faced with little to no tribulation that tensions arise. Those who embrace difficulties have more of a sense of community. Which is not to say one should wish distress on another, only that it's become more apparent to me that there are many reasons for difficulties, and I believe one is unity.

I hope to take today and this weekend off and begin work Monday. I am looking forward to being able to contribute again, although these past few days have given me a chance to rest I am anxious to start working again.

Good morning. It feels good to be back home, the Czech language is not easy. Before I left I visited Josefov, the Jewish Quarter for the first time. If I ever get things unpacked I hope to post some photographs here. This journal is going to be an exercise in my "American English" skills.

Du`aa’

I found this in the pearlsoftruth community and thought others would enjoy it.

Du`aa’ After Ablution opens the eight gates of Paradise

A true believer never gives up supplicating to his Lord and imploring Him for guidance. Almighty Allah teaches us to call upon Him and seek His forgiveness all the time. In the Qur’an, Almighty Allah teaches us:

“Ask Allah of His bounty. Lo! Allah is ever Knower of all things.” (An-Nisaa’: 32)

Sheikh Sayyed Sabiq states in his well-known book, Fiqh us-Sunnah:

`Umar reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said,

“If one completes (and perfects) the ablution and then says, ‘I testify that there is no god except Allah, the One Who has no partner, and that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger,” the eight gates of Paradise will be opened for him and he may enter any of them that he wishes” (Muslim).

Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri reported that the Prophet said,

“Whoever makes ablution and says, ‘Glory be to Thee, O Allah, and the praise be to Thee. I bear witness that there is no god except You. I beg Your forgiveness and I repent unto you,’ will have it written for him, and placed on a tablet which will not be broken until the Day of Resurrection” (At-Tabarani).

An-Nasa’i has it with the wording

“It will be stamped with a seal, placed below the throne, and it will not be broken until the Day of Resurrection.”

As for the supplication,

“Allah, cause me to be from among the repentant, and cause me to be from among the pure,”

it has been narrated by At-Tirmidhi.
